"The Property"
"Elanora" Ramornie via Grafton

"Elanora" is the 100 acre (41ha) property developed by Barbara, Bianca and Stefan after purchasing the vacant block of land in 1998. It is situated at Ramornie, 20 kilometers West of Grafton. It is one of a handfull of blocks sub-devided off Ramornie Station in the 1970s. It is 3 kms off the main highway from Grafton to Glen Innes, in the shadows of the Great Dividing Range.

"Elanora" paddocks, with Mount Ramornie up the back paddock

here at "Elanora" we run 6-12 head of cattle, show/breed 10+ horses (Ramornie Quarter Horses), keep poultry (turkeys, chooks, bantams, guinea fowl) and  breed a large variety of Parrots (Mt. Ramornie Aviaries).

"Elanora" is looked after by "Jezebel", our Kelpie working/guard dog and our Pet Plover "Mike Abromowitz".

On and off we also keep sometimes Ducks, Geese and Goats. Our ponds are always full of fish, ornamental and table variety.

Animals galore.............and of course "Elanora" is home to a large variety of native animals like, Kangaroos & Wallabies, a huge variety of native birds, rare butterflies, creepy crawlies as well as snakes and lizards. If you are on a lucky visit you might be able to catch a glimpse of our white Kangaroos.

Photo: Grafton's famous Jacarandas starting to bloom (Gwydir Hightway, South Grafton)

Grafton is located roughly 300ks south of Brisbane, capital of Queensland, and 600ks North of Sydney, capital of NSW. Grafton's natural landmark is the mighty Clarence River, which separates Grafton and South Grafton. Grafton is known as the first city on the North Coast of NSW, and the Jacaranda City. Every November the streets are carpeted in the mauve, scented flowers of the (imported) Jacaranda Trees, which are planted all along the streets in Grafton.
